Aqua vitae, originally Latin and meaning “water of life.” The name comes from early distillers believing spirits to be a healing liquid. Aqua Vitae was typically distilled from wine, therefore it is often linked to brandy. In Scotland, however, it was made from a malt base and is believed to be the first form of scotch whisky.

We took a tour of a distillery whilst we were in Scotland and got to experience Aqua Vitae for ourselves - so when the idea of these wax melts came to be, it was really a no-brainer!
